Kitchen Renovation
Written by Administrator

Our alumni organization extensively remodeled the house kitchen during the first week of September. The renovation included moving the stove from the West side of the kitchen to the East side, moving the dishwasher to the other side of the sink, and installing new floors, cabinets, counters, and lighting as well as a full height tile back-splash. In addition, the doorway to the dining room was widened, a pantry was installed where the stove formerly sat, and cabinets were installed above and around the fridges to provide a more finished look. The new kitchen will help improve the look and atmosphere of the house and is part of ongoing improvements to the house including new paint and carpet last year and a new HVAC system last fall.

House Renovations Summer 2012
Written by Tyler Condon

As many of you may know, the active and alumni chapters of Sigma Phi Delta Kappa Chapter

have been working hard during the last few months to perform the much needed renovations

to our castle. The project started with replacing all of the carpet in the castle, repainting the interior,

and performing other interior structural improvements.

This weekend, with the financial support of the alumni, the active chapter was able to stain nearly

all of the woodwork on the outside of the castle.  Areas included the deck, balconies

(both internal and external), outside letters, overhang of the roof, support beams for the balcony,

and other minor areas.

While there is still work needed on the castle, we would like to thank the countless alumnus and

actives who have supported the castle renovation plans.

Feel free stop by the house anytime to admire the improvements.
